Working as an independent producer, Sue Mell's radio work has been featured on the Third Coast Festival's documentary program Re:sound and the Peabody Award winning website Transom.org. She has produced pieces for Studio 360 and Weekend America as well as for KALW in San Francisco. In 2006 she was the recipient of a Society of Professional Journalists award for Explanatory Journalism.
